Join us for our fabulous 4th trip to the beautiful, colonial, UNESCO-World Heritage city of  Oaxaca, the elegant and fascinating cultural hub of Mexico. We will be staying, once again, at Casa Murguia, a stunning villa right in the center of this red-hot destination owned by our good friend, Mary Jane Gagnier, folk art historian and author of Oaxaca Celebration.   Casa Murguia is an extremely popular lodging destination, and in addition to being the proprietor of Casa Murguia, Mary Jane also directs a prestigious horseback cross country touring program out of her ranch outside of town.  So we feel extremely grateful to have Casa Murguia booked for a week and to have Mary Jane’s services as our private guide.

National Geographic picked Oaxaca as one of the 10 best cities in the world to visit in 2018  and the New York Times ran a big article on Oaxaca in mid March.   Oaxaca (wah-hah-kah) has a special magic felt by Mexicans and foreigners alike. October is an incredibly exciting time to visit and if you have never been, you will find it to be an intoxicating city. A bastion of indigenous culture, it’s home to the country’s most vibrant crafts and art scene, countless outstandingly colorful and extroverted festivities, a uniquely savory cuisine and diverse natural riches.  At Casa Murguia, right in the middle of the city, with our own private solar-heated swimming pool, we will enjoy daytime temperatures averaging 75º, and spend the entire week absorbing the sights, smells, festivals, shops, colors, textures, language and arts of this amazingly vibrant city.

Our mornings will begin with daily meditation and asana practice and then we will have ample opportunities to continue our mindfulness practiceswhile traipsing and traveling, shopping and sightseeing, hiking and hangin’, and eating and enjoying the vast array of flavors and smells of Oaxacan cuisine.

Cancellation & Refund Policy
Your $500 deposit is non-refundable.

If you cancel 60 or more days before the retreat start date, you will receive a refund of your payment, less the $500 deposit.
If you cancel 60-45 days prior to the retreat, you will receive a refund of your payment, less the $500 deposit and an additional $250 processing fee.

Refunds cannot be expected if you cancel after that. Cancellation requests are always considered on a case by case basis and, under extenuating circumstances, we may at our discretion offer a partial refund and/or a transfer credit valid for the following year’s Costa Rica retreat.

Travel Insurance
Given our Cancellation & Refund Policy, please protect your investment by purchasing travel insurance immediately after you register. Some insurance policies offer, possibly at a small additional cost, a “Cancel for Any Reason” benefit if you purchase insurance within 24-72 hours of making your initial deposit. Such a travel insurance policy will cover 75-100% of your non-refundable expenses (i.e., airline tickets, the coaching costs, etc.) in case you do need to cancel. Be sure to read the terms of the policy carefully to ensure that the coverage suits your circumstances.
