The practice of pranayama is a deeply cleansing, healing, and balancing form of yoga that burns out toxins and makes room for clear, clean positive energy.
In this workshop you will learn how to use the yoga locks to create a closed system and move prana down to the third chakra and apana up. When these two forms of prana come together, they ignite the agni, burn out the rubbish, or samskaras (conditioning), bring insight, clarity, and resilience, and help to prepare you for the inner limbs and deeper dimensions of yoga.
The workshop will include 30 minutes of lecture, 30 minutes preparation and practice, and 30 minutes discussion and Q+A.
Pranayama basically means both “energy management, or energy restraint,” as well as “energy expansion.” Your pranayama practice continues the work that you began in asana by training the mind in concentration. This leads to greater awareness of what you are doing with your energy. You begin to notice, ‘What is taking my attention? Where am I leaking prana?’
