Awake, Aware, Alive — Through Practice
A Confluence of Mindfulness, Meditation & Classical Yoga
Join Beryl Bender for an immersive retreat exploring the shared wisdom of classical yoga’s eight-limbed path and the eight-fold path of Buddhism. Discover how these ancient traditions cultivate awareness, ease suffering, and support a more awakened way of living.

Through Insight Meditation, gentle and accessible asana, walking meditation, mindfulness, and mantra, you develop concentration, deepen awareness, and explore practices for cleansing, healing, and aligning body and mind. You also consider the role of community, movement, plant-based eating, silence, solitude, and self-regulation in supporting a long, healthy, and fulfilling life. Leave with simple, time-honored practices you can continue using to cultivate greater presence, well-being, and connection in everyday life.

Please note: Workshop begins Sunday at 8:00 p.m.

Beryl Bender is a philosopher, an animal and environmental activist, and author of four books on the yoga path, who has been practicing and teaching classical yoga and Jain and Buddhist meditation for more than 50 years.
