Yoga & Mindfulness Meditation Workshop w/ Beryl

You can learn meditation this summer!!! Or if you already have a meditation practice, then join our sangha for support and exploration. This summer I am celebrating my 43rd consecutive year of teaching yoga and meditation to the thousands upon thousands of folks who journey to Omega every summer for inspiration and transformation, and it would be great if you were there too.

Meditation is absolutely the most important thing you can bring into your life. It is not something you have to add to your "to do" list, it is a daily practice that gives ease and efficiency, joy and freedom to every other moment.

Meditation is a skill and once you learn it, you can do it anywhere. But you need to learn how to do it. It's not just an endurance test of sitting still, or stopping thought, or waiting for some altered drug like state to descend. It's learning to get your attention in present time & knowing the difference between being lost in thought & being here.

This summer Mindfulness Meditation takes Center Stage at Omega. We will practice the Buddhist Theravada Vipassana technique that I have been studying since college and teaching for the past 25 years (and the same practice that is followed by the Walk for Peace monks). Oh yes, we also do yoga (asana) practice daily — importantly accessible for all, restorative, and energizing. We laugh and walk and breathe and eat terrific plant-based meals (lovingly prepared by someone besides you), and incorporate mindfulness into every moment. Without you it won't be the same!
